JHENAIDAH: Three people were killed in two separate road accidents in Kaliganj and Sadar upazilas of the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Sohel, 28, president of Paglakanai union Chhatra Dal, Faruk Hossain, 30, son of Matiar Rahman and Mehrab, 4, son of Rasel Mia.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Thana Anowar Hossain said that a rashly driven passenger bus rammed into a motorcycle carrying Sohel and Faruk in Jamtoal area of Kaliganj around 4:00pm, leaving Sohel dead on the spot and Faruk injured critically.

The injured was rushed to Jhenaidah Sadar hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 5:15pm.

On the other hand, a minor aged four years was knocked by a truck in Sadar upazila while he was crossing the road in the afternoon, leaving him dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (investigation) of Sadar Thana Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
