DHAKA: A freelance journalist was killed in a road accident on Rampura Bridge in city on Friday noon.

The deceased was identified as Sabiha Siddiqui, 32, resident of Shekher Tek of Mohammadpur in city.

Deceased’s sister Rabeya Siddiqui confirmed the matter to banglanews.

A covered van knocked Sabiha while crossing the road on the Rampura Bridge, leaving her injured critically, she added.

Later, she was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where she succumbed to her injuries, Rabeya added.

DMCH Police camp also confirmed the matter to banglanews.
