Indefinite transport strike in Rangpur

RANGPUR: District Pickup Owners’ Association called an indefinite transport strike on Monday which halted the road link of the district with four neighboring routes.

Sources said that miscreants vandalized bus stand and set fire to the office of Pickup Owners’ Association, leaving five people injured.

Protesting the incident, the Association declared indefinite strike.

President of the Association Ashraful Islam complained that the supporters of Rural Development and Cooperatives State Minister Mashiur Rahman Ranga were involved in the incident.
