SUNAMGANJ: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel detained three smugglers from Tekerghar frontier under Tahirpur Upazila of the district early Wednesday.

The detainees are- Kawsar, 29, son of Abu Hanif, Mohibur Rahman, 28 and Indian citizen Marak, 30.

BGB said that a patrol team of BGB chased the suspected smugglers in the area and caught them around 3:00am.

Meanwhile, the law enforcers seized one ton smuggled coal from the spot.

Sunamganj-8 BGB Commander Golam Mahiuddin Khandakar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
