SAVAR: Teachers, students and officials of Jahangirnagar University have urged the government to ban Jamaat-Shibir politics and demanded immediate trial of war criminals.
The demand came from a human chain demo organized by the university administration at the foot of Shaheed Minar on the campus Sunday morning. Vice-Chancellor Prof Sharif Enamul Kabir led the demo.
A number of organizations of the university also participated at the human chain demo.
The VC, Pro VC Prof Muniruzzaman, Prof Farhad Hossain, Treasurer of the university Prof Nasir Uddin and Proctor Arju Mia spoke at the programme.
