NARAYANGANJ: A woman and her daughter were killed in a road accident at Missionpara area on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shirin Begum, 28, resident of that area, and her daughter Jayeeta, 6.

A recklessly driven truck knocked down the rickshaw carrying the woman and her two daughters, leaving two of them dead on the spot and one injured, said witness. 

Narayanganj Sadar Model Thana inspector (investigation) Shahjalal confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The injured girl was taken to a local hospital, he added.

“Police was able to detain the truck driver while the agitated locals burnt the truck after the accident,” he said further.
