DHAKA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were deployed across the country to avert any untoward situation ahead of 48-hour hartal enforced by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

BGB public relations officer Mohsin Reza told the media that the BGB was deployed on Saturday evening.

They have already started patrolling across the country, he added.

According to the BGB PRO, the BGB personnel will work to provide security during nationwide electricity outage and ahead of Jamaat-e-Islami called countrywide hartal for Sunday and Monday.
