DHAKA: Leaders and activists of Shibir, the student wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, hurled 12 cocktails at Ray Saheber Bazar in old section of the city on Monday.

Sources told banglanews that the Shibir men exploded the cocktails around 11:00am there supporting the hartal imposed by Jamaat.

These were hurled from a procession of 15-20 shibir leaders and activists, sources added.

However, the hartal supporters were dispersed later over opening fire by police.

Confirming the matter, Sutrapur Thana Additional Sub-Inspector (ASI) Durga Prasad said that police is looking into the matter.
