MANIKGANJ: A police constable was killed on Sunday after a truck knocked him down at Sadar upazila.

The deceased was identified as Kafil Uddin.

Sources told banglanews that a truck hit the motorcycle of Kafil Uddin in front of Rahman CNG Station on Dhaka-Aricha highway around 8:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter, Golora Highway Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman said that police sent the body to Manikganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police is trying to reveal the deceased’s identity, he added.
