MOULVIBAZAR: A fire broke out at a police barrack in Gumra area of the district on Monday noon.

Sources said the fire originated around 1:00pm from a cigarette filter at a depot of wastage of the barrack.

Ashraful Islam, assistant superintendent of police (ASP), said that, on information, the fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the flame.

However, the damaged caused by the fire is in small scale, he added.
