DHAKA: A cleaning worker was killed when a human-hauler ran over him in Gulistan area of the city Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Joynal, 42.

On-duty police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ahad at Gulistan police box told banglanews that a leguna (human-hauler) hit the man at 8:00am while he was cleaning roads near Mohanagar Natto Moncho, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.

The body has been kept in the hospital morgue.
