Bangladeshi killed by BSF in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel gunned down a youth in Ratnai frontier of Baliadangi upazila of the district on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Shah Alam, 22, son of Sher Ali of the upazila.

Lieutenant Colonel Tushar Bin Yunus of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) director of Thakurgaon-30 confirmed the matter after a flag meeting with BSF around 7:00pm.

Lieutenant Colonel Tushar of BGB and sector commander D Kishen Dani of Sonamoti BSF battalion led the meeting where BSF assured to return the dead body and another Bangladeshi.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, the members of Sonamoti BSF battalion fired targeting Alam and Saifur, leaving Alam bullet-hit.
