‘Padma Bridge is not a dream, it’s real’

PIROJPUR: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Saturday said the construction of much-awaited Padma Bridge is no longer a dream, it is real now.

The minister was addressing a fresher reception and prize giving ceremony on the playground of Banga Mata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Women’s College at the upazila in the morning.

He also claimed that train movement would begin on the Padma Bridge by 2018.

Obaidul vowed to work for mass people saying that we will keep working for the country’s people for every moment as long as we will stay in power.

With lawmaker AKMA Auwal in the chair, the function was attended, among others, by district deputy commissioner AKM Shamimul Haque Siddique, district council official Makbul Hossain and superintendent of police (SP) M Shah Abid Hossain.
