18 Malaysia-bound rescued in Cox’s Bazar

COX’S BAZAR: A team of Detective Branch (DB) police, in a drive, rescued 18 people who were gathered to be sent to Malaysia illegally.

They were rescued from the hotel Sea Heaven in Cox’s Bazar at 3:00pm on Saturday.

Cox’s Bazar district DB police Officer-in-Charge Dewan Abul Hossain told banglanews that, acting on a tip-off, they conducted the drive and rescued 18 fortune-seekers from the hotel.

They will be produced before the court, he added.
