DHAKA: Nationalist Democratic Front (NDF) alliance led by National People’s Party (NPP) called countrywide daylong hartal for Tuesday to press home their demand of Latif Siddique.
NDF President Shawkat Hossain Nilu told to banglanews on Monday night that they would observe countrywide hartal from 6:00am to 6:00pm Tuesday as the government did not arrest Latif Siddque.
Earlier in the day, NDF threatened to observe countrywide hartal if their demand does not fulfilled in due time.
Recently, Latif Siddique was sacked from the ruling Awami League cabinet, expelled from the party presidium and later from the party for his comments on hajj, Hazarat Mohammad (PBUH) and Tabligh Jamaat.
After a long time, Latif returned home from India on Sunday night.
However, Hefajat-e-Islam called hartal for Thursday and Alliance of Islamic Party for Wednesday demanding the arrest of Latif Siddique.
