DHAKA: The government has started evicting illegal establishments from around Sadarghat in the capital from 12:00pm Monday.

A team of officials from Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), Dhaka district administration and Dhaka Metropolitan police, led by executive director Sarwar Alam started the drive.

Till filing the report, hundreds of illegal establishments including fruits stores and shops were evicted from Wiseghat to Shaymbazar areas during the drive.
