DHAKA: The customs intelligence officials recovered 43kg gold from an import cargo at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city early Wednesday.

Sources told banglanews that the recovered gold consignment includes 43 gold bars, weighing one kilogram each.

Confirming the matter, deputy director of the customs intelligence Mustafizur Rahman said that the huge consignment of gold was recovered from a Singapore Air Lines’ cargo.

“The 43 gold bars were found hidden in garment accessories there,” he added.
