Bangladeshi dies in New York

NEW YORK: A Bangladeshi expatriate died of heart attack in New York City on Thursday.

The deceased Sazzad Hossain, 34, hailed from Adabari village under Mirzapur upazilla of Tangail district.

Sazzad’s friend Mahfujur Rahman said, Sazzad suddenly fell sick at his house around 5:30am and he was taken to Jamaica Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

His namaz-e-janaza was held at Omar Bin Abdul Aziz Mosque at 10:00am on Saturday morning followed by the burial at Bargen graveyard in New Jersey, Mahfujur added.

Sazzad left the country for the USA with his family and worked at a commercial bank in the city. He lived with his wife and a 3-year-old daughter in Richmond Hill.
