DHAKA: At least 20 people were killed and several others injured in separate road accidents in Tangail, Naogaon, Manikganj, Faridpur, Chapainawabganj, Rangpur and Mymensingh Wednesday.
In Tangail, 10 people were killed and few others injured as a truck rammed a three-wheeler, locally known as tempo, in Ashura area in Madhupur upazila.
In Naogaon, four people were killed when a bus rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area, leaving four passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot.
In Manikganj, police recovered two bodies after a stone-laden truck fell into a ditch breaking a bailey bridge in Kitingchar area on Singair-Hemayetpur road.
In Faridpur, a police inspector was killed as two trucks smashed his motorcycle in Piarpur area on Nuru Mia Bypass Road.
In Mymensingh, a woman was killed when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw turned turtle in Gouripur.
In Chapainawabganj, a man was killed as a rashly driven crushed into his motorcycle.
In Rangpur, a driver was killed in a head-on collision between two trucks in Pirgachha.
