GOALUNDO (RAJBARI): Ferry service on Daulatdia-Paturia route in the river Padma resumed on Wednesday morning after eight hours of suspension due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Sources told banglanews that ferries from jetties started plying at 10:00am as the visibility returned.

Besides, according to the Daulatdia BIWTC office, seven ferries with passengers and vehicles, those earlier remained stuck in the mid river, left for the jetties at that time.

Earlier, Daulatdia Ghat manager Shafiqul Islam told banglanews that the authorities suspended ferry services around 2:00am to avert accident due to blurred visibility.
