One more petrol bomb Victim dies

DHAKA: One of the 29 passengers, who sustained to burn injuries following the petrol bomb attack at a bus in city’s Jatrabari area on January 24, died Sunday noon.

The deceased was identified as Nur Alam, 40, son of Wahed Ali, hailed from Bhulta Gausia area of Narayanganj.

Sources told banglanews that he succumbed to his injuries around 1:00pm at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in the capital.

Confirming the matter, DMCH burn unit head Dr Shah Alam Bhuiyan said that Alam, who sustained 48 percent burn injuries on his body, passed away after suffering eight days.

However, a group of miscreants hurled petrol bombs to a Glory Paribahan bus that left at least 29 passengers including three women and child burnt.

Eight, among the victims, are still in critical condition at the hospital.
