DHAKA: Another person, who sustained burn injuries in a fire that broke out at a plastic factory at Mirpur, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Kamal Hossain, 40, son of Chan Mohammad of Doulatpur upazila of Kushtia district. He was a security guard at the Apco Plastic Factory.

Kamal was admitted to DMCH burn unit on January 31 with 35 percent burns following the fire that broke out at the factory located in section Mirpur-1 area of the city.

Burn unit doctor Razia Sultana confirmed the death to banglanews.

With the latest death, a total of 14 people died in the tragic incident.
