DHAKA: The authorities concerned are set to resume long-route bus service on highways after 9pm Thursday after a halt due to petrol bomb attack spree.
Transport Owners’ Association took the decision after a meeting with Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan, state minister for home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and cooperative minister Moshiur Rahman Ranga.
On February 9, the association halted the long-distant bus service on highways after 9:00pm as hundreds of vehicles had been torched during hatal and blockade enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance across the country.
