DHAKA: Market monitoring team of the Commerce Ministry has fined 11 businessmen of four markets in the city for over pricing the goods.

The teams realised Tk 3 lakh from the drives conducted in Hatirpul Bazar, New Market, Karwanbazar and Kalmilata markets.

Director general of National Consumer Right Protection Directorate Md Abul Hossain Mian, deputy secretary of commerce ministry Md Akhtaruzzaman, deputy secretary Md Abul Kalam, magistrate of Dhaka district administration Al-Amin and magistrate Kamruzzaman, along with police and RAB, were there in the teams.
