MOULVIBAZAR: Rail communications of Sylhet with Chittagong and Dhaka has been restored five hours after nor’wester led some 35 trees to fall down on rail track in Lawachara area of Kamalganj Upazila of the district early Wednesday.
Railway sources said that rail communications become normal after the fallen tree were removed from the tracks around 8:15am.
Three trains – Kushiara Express from Sylhet, Upaban Express from Chittagong and Udayan Express from Dhaka-- those remained stranded at different stations due to the halt, have left for respective destinations.
Assistant station master M Nazmul Haque of Sremangal Rail Station of the district confirmed the matter to banglanews.
