DHAKA: President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined an iftar program hosted by Chief Justice (CJ) Surendra Kumar Sinha on the Supreme Court premises on Saturday.

Speaker of the House Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, cabinet members and senior judges and lawyers, among others, also attended the event.

Both the President and the Prime Minister exchanged greetings with the host as well as the other guests.

Before the iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.

Supreme Court Mazar Mosque khatib Ahmed Hasan Chowdhury conducted the munajat.
