DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion detained a youth with 10 petrol bombs and 12 hand bombs in Chandina Upazila of the district on early Sunday.

The detainee is identified as Wakhilur Rahman.

Comilla RAB-11 commanding officer Major Khurshid confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said a team of RAB-11 picked up the youth from in front of Palki cinema hall of the upazila for his suspicious movement around 3:30am.

After searching him, RAB members found the petrol bombs and hand bombs in a bag carried by him.

Major Khurshid also said Wakhilur was carrying the bombs for creating sabotage.

The detainee was handed over to Chandina Thana.
