TANGAIL: Two cattle traders were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between two trucks in Mirzapur Sadar on Dhaka-Tangail highway on Monday.

Identity of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.

The accident took place around 7:00am when a Dhaka-bound truck carrying cattle collided head-on with a salt-laden truck that left two traders dead on the spot, said Gorai highway Thana officer-in-charge (OC) M Humayun Kabir.

The OC further said that the injured were admitted to Mirzapur Kumudini Medical College Hospital.
