DHAKA: Foreign ministers of Germany and France will arrive together in a daylong visit to Dhaka on Monday morning.
Bangladesh foreign ministry confirmed the matter to banglanews on Sunday.
Foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali will receive Germany foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and France foreign minister Laurent Fabius, scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city at 8:00am.
They will go to Patuakhali district by helicopter around 10:00am on the day and visit cyclone shelter centers.
After returning in Dhaka around 12:00noon, they will attend a lunch to be hosted by Bangladesh foreign minister at Padma Guesthouse.
The visiting FMs are also scheduled to make courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 4:00pm and meet the media people at 5:00pm.
However, seven higher ranking officials will accompany the France FM while 32 high-ups will accompany the Germany FM. A total of 14 media persons will also be included in the tour.
Terming the upcoming visit historic, Bangladesh FM said this sort of combined visit will be first of its kind in the country.
The visiting ministers will discuss about the climate change risk in Bangladesh and also the upcoming climate conference in Paris, Mahmood Ali added.
