DHAKA: A housewife allegedly committed suicide on Friday noon in city’s Basabo area.

The deceased has been identified as Tania Aktar (22), daughter of late Ali Akbar from sadar upazila of Munshiganj district.

Locals said that Tania had committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan but the reason was unknown.

She was living in Pagla area of Wahab Colony area in Basabo with her twin daughters, they added.

Confirming the matter Sabujbugh Thana sub-inspector (IS) Prashanta Bala told banglanews that on information police recovered Tania in a critical condition.

On-duty doctor at Dhaka Medical Collage and Hospital (DMCH) declared her dead on arrival.
