DHAKA: A case was filed with the Gulshan Police Station in city Tuesday over the murder of Italian national, Tavella Cesare (50), employee of a Netherlands-based international organization called ICCO-BD.

Gulshan Police Station sub-inspector (SI) Sabbir told banglanews that one of the colleagues of the victim filed the case around 12:00pm.

However, Cesare was shot dead on Monday evening on Road no. 90 in Gulshan-2 in city.

Three bikers, who were following him, fired three rounds of bullets and fled the spot.

Passers-by rushed him to city’s United Hospital where on-duty physician declared him dead around 7:00pm on the day.
