EU concerned over Tavella murder Pierre Mayaudon

DHAKA: EU ambassador to Bangladesh Pierre Mayaudon expressed his consternation following the savage assassination of an Italian aid worker Cesare Tavella in Dhaka.

The slain Italian aid worker was employed at a Netherlands-based NGO ICCO.

The ambassador wished to convey his condolences to Cesare’s family, friends and colleagues.

All staff of the EU Delegation in Bangladesh join him in expressing their sorrow as well as their solidarity with the deceased’s loved ones.

‘Tavella had come to Bangladesh for helping the poorest of the poor which makes this crime even more horrific,’ Mayaudon said.

He also condemns this terrorist crime in the strongest possible terms and urges the law enforcement agencies to promptly investigate this barbaric aggression and bring the perpetrators to justice.
