ISHWARDI, PABNA: Unidentified assailants murdered a sub-inspector (SI) of Bangladesh police in Pakshi area of Pabna district early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Sujaul Islam, in-charge of Pakshi police outpost.

Police recovered his body tied up hand and leg from a banana garden near of Pakshi rail station at dawn.

Pakshi Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Biman Kumar Das told bgnalnews that Sujaul Islam remained missing from Sunday evening. His mobile phone also found switched off. Later, petrol police found his body near the rail station.

Police suspect that assailants tied up his hands and legs and strangulated him to death.
