CHITTAGONG: Two people, including a child, were killed and three others injured in a road crash on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in Choumohani area under Patia upazila on Friday.

Details about the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.

Highway police Patia outpost in-charge M Shafikul Azam told banglanews that a passenger bus crashed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw from opposite direction around 12:30am, leaving one dead on the spot and four others injured.

Four injured were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Of them, a man succumbed to his injuries, DMCH police outpost sub-inspector Jahirul Islam told banglanews.
