DHAKA: A workshop on biogas and its potentials in Bangladesh was held in a Dhaka hotel on October 10.

International Finance Corporation (IFC), Royal Denmark embassy in Dhaka and Bangladesh Biogas Development Foundation (BBDF) jointly organized the workshop.

IFC senior principal officer Mohan Seneviratne, Royal Danish embassy development counselor Peter Borg Jansen and BBDF’s Abdul Gofran were present at the event.

IFC made a presentation on their plan to generate electricity from biogas as a response to the government’s target for the year 2020, a press release said on October 11.
