DHAKA: The number of Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims, who died in Mina stampede, reached 89 and missing 70.

Religious affairs secretary Dr Chowdhury Babul Hasan disclosed the toll at his secretariat office in city on Sunday.

He said that according to the available data, as many as 89 Bangladeshi pilgrims died in Mina tragedy while 70 are still missing.

Moreover, 129 pilgrims naturally died in Saudi Arabia during hajj performance, the secretary added.
