DHAKA: Italian citizen Cesare Tavella was killed following the order of a so-called ‘Big Brother’, commented Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia.

‘The so-called big brother is a political leader,’ he added.

The DMP boss made this assertion at a press conference at DMP media center in city on Monday noon.

‘The big brother ordered to kill foreign nationals to bring the government under pressure,’ Asaduzzaman added.

Earlier on the day, Detective Branch (DB) of police detained four including three killers conducting drives in different parts of the city.



The detainees were Kala Russel, Chakti Russel, Shooter Rubel and Shakhawat Hossain Sharif. Moreover, police seized the motorcycle that was used during the murder.

On September 28, Italian national and a Netherlands-based aid worker Cesare Tavella was killed by a group of miscreants in city’s Gulshan area.
