BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained 13 Bangladeshis, including men and women, from Benapole border as they entered Bangladesh illegally.

They were held in Putkhali char area on early Wednesday.

Putkhali BGB-23 battalion camp subedar Farid Uddin told banglanews that they detained 13 people in a drive against illegal passing of border and handed over them to the police.

‘But no traffickers was detained in this incident,’ he added.

Moreover, Benapole Port Thana sub-inspector (Si) Sujit said that they have filed case against the detainees.
