SIRAJGANJ: Two people were killed in a collision between a truck and private car on Bangabandhu Bridge west link road in Kamarkhand of the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Billal Hossain, driver of the private car, hailed from Pabna sadar and Golam Rabbi Neel, 28, son of Saiful Islam Khandkar of Royganj upazila of Sirajganj.

Bangabandhu west bridge officer-in-charge (OC) Helal Uddin told banglanews that a Bogra-bound truck collided head on with the private car in the area around 12:15pm, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

The bodies were sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. 

Trucks and private car both were seized but diver of the truck and his helper managed to flee the spot, the OC added.
