COX’S BAZAR: Police detained three persons with 22,000 pieces of yaba tablets in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Sunday.

The detainees were identified as Shakhawat (45), Yunus (35) and Zakir Hossain (30).

Teknaf Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Ataur Rahman told banglanews that on tip-off, police conducted a drive at the house of Shakhawat at KK Para in Teknaf municipality area Sunday early morning.

Police detained three persons with 22,000 pieces of yaba tablets, the OC said adding, legal action will be taken against the detainees.
