DHAKA: The voting to elect the executive committee of Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) is underway from Monday morning.

Voters started casting their ballots at 9:00am and will continue till 5:00pm without any break.

Shakawat Hossain Badsha (special correspondent of Inqilab) and Jamal Uddin (special correspondent of Ittefaq) are fighting for president post.

M Shariful Islam was elected vice president uncontested, as he was lone candidate in the post.

Three senior journalists are fighting for general secretary post. They are Raju Ahmed (Gazi TV), Fersous Mobarak (Daily Star) and Mursalin Nomani (Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha).
