DHAKA: President Abdul Hamid left the country on Tuesday morning for Singapore for his medical checkup.

A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 10.30am.

Finance minister AMA Muhith, commerce minister Tofail Ahmed, foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali, dean of the diplomatic corps in Bangladesh and civil and military high-ups saw him off at the airport.

The President is expected to return home on December 5.
