FROM KOLKATA, WEST BENGAL: The Nepal participants in Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) friendship motor rally expressed their happiness for the sincerity, food and goodwill that Bangladesh provided to all.

On the top, they appreciated the security measures taken for them.

A member of the Nepal team, ‘Auto Nepal’ magazine managing director Bhushan Kumar Shrestha said they got many Bangladeshi friends through the rally.

According to him, Bangladesh followed the schedule with utmost sincerity. Like Bhutan or India nothing happened here. Every schedule was followed smartly, unlike the other countries the lunch was not taken at the time of the dinner.

‘Bangladesh has shown excellent discipline through out the rally.’

With a happy note, Bhushan said that the sincerity of Bangladesh was fascinating. ‘Through this rally we have been benefited by gaining many new friends.’

Bhushan further said, the most satisfying thing was the security of Bangladesh. During the technical trouble in Magura, the Bangladesh Army came forward to assist them with much gusto. ‘It was admirable and praiseworthy’, he added.

He also praised the Bangladeshi motor technicians for their skill. According to him, they are very efficient and expert. ‘Without them it might have took a whole day for every single vehicle. But the technicians had repaired nine vehicles within three-and-a-half-hour.

But he criticized the relatively slow commuters like rickshaw and other slow-moving vehicles in Dhaka streets. Bhushan commented that these kinds of vehicles hamper normal movement of cars.

He also pointed out the absence of English signs in important places like filling stations.

At the end, he expressed his happiness about the foods of Bangladesh, especially of hilsha and other fishes. The foods were really delicious and praiseworthy, he opined.

Nepal Automobile Association president Desharath Risal and members Tabin Shrestha and Prakash Kapuri were also in the team from Nepal.
