The Swedish Embassy in Dhaka has announced it will cease accepting Schengen visa applications for the Netherlands from 15 October.
The decision was confirmed in a press release issued by the embassy on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the embassy will no longer represent the Netherlands in matters related to Schengen visa applications.
The final date for submitting applications via VFS Global Sweden is 15 October.
Travellers whose primary destination in the Schengen area is the Netherlands will be required to follow the updated application procedures directly through the Dutch authorities.
The move follows a similar step taken earlier this month, when the Swedish Embassy in Dhaka stopped handling visa applications for Belgium as of 15 September.
