2 killed in Jamalpur road crash

JAMALPUR: Two people were killed and four others injured in a collision between a Leguna and an auto-rickshaw in Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Pangkha Begum, 60, from Islampur upazila and Hawa Begum, 58 from Bakshiganj upazila of the district.

 Locals said a human hauler local known as Leguna collided head-on with a CNG-run Auto-rickshaw around 6:00m, leaving two persons dead on the spot and four others injured.

Jamalpur Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abdul Awal told banglanews that of the injured, Badal and Umar Ali have been sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
