2 killed in city train crashes

DHAKA: Two unidentified people were killed in separate train crashes in Khilkhet and Khilgaon rail crossings in the city.

Sources said a man, aged at 40, crushed under wheels of a Joydebpur-bound train Turag Express in Khilkehet area on Monday morning.

Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.

On the other hand, a train hit a man, aged at 35, in Khilgaon rail gate area around 10:00pm Sunday, leaving him dead on the spot.

The body also sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy, said railway thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abdul Majid.
