MANIKGANJ: Ferry service on the Daulatdia-Paturia route resumed Sunday morning after more than three-hour disruption due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.
Mohiuddin Russel, assistant manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Paturia Ferry ghat told banglanews that ferries with vehicles on broad, which were waiting at ghat to cross the Padma River, started plying toward respective destination around 9:30am.
Earlier, plying of ferries and other water vessels came to a halt around 6:00am due to low visibility. Ro-Ro ferry Golam Mowla, small ferry Kapoti carrying passengers and vehicles got stuck at mid Padma due to thick fog.
Ferry services on the route resumed after density of fog decreases, the BIWTC official said.
