DHAKA: Government has appointed new secretaries in five ministries. Besides, cabinet division got a new secretary (coordination and reform).

Public Administration ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday.

According to the notification, BCS Administration Academy rector M Sohrab Hossain was made secretary of education ministry, Land Appeal Board chairman DM Abdur Rab Howlader was transferred to Planning Commission as its member, Primary and Mass Education ministry secretary Mezbah-ul-Alam transferred to land ministry and Planning Commission member M Humayun Khalid was made secretary of Primary and Mass Education ministry.

Besides, immigration and passport department director general AM Ziaul Alam has been appointed as acting secretary (coordination and reform) to cabinet division while  Energy and Mineral Resources division additional secretary Nazimuddin Chowdhury promoted to acting secretary at the division.
