DHAKA: Prime minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi in the city marking the Martyred Intellectuals Day on Monday.

After paying tribute to the Martyred Intellectuals’ Memorial in Mirpur, the premier placed floral wreath at the portrait of Sheikh Mujib in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum around 8:25am.

Senior Awami League leaders, senior officials and leaders of the front organisations of the party, senior leaders of 14-party alliance were present.

Earlier the Prime Minister paid tribute to the martyred intellectuals by placing a wreath at the Martyred Intellectuals’ Memorial at Mirpur in the capital.
