DHAKA: The US Ambassador to Dhaka Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat has praised the measures, taken by the law enforcers for the security of diplomats and foreigners residing here.

She made the remark to reporters after separate meetings with state minister for foreign affairs M Shahriar Alam and foreign secretary Shahidul Haque on Wednesday.

Bernicat also thanked the government over the security measures taken ahead of Christmas celebration in Bangladesh.

She also mentioned that some important American nationals likely to visit Bangladesh next year.
